Community Recognition

Ability Specialists has received commendations from several community groups and nonprofit organizations. Our programs have been reviewed and approved by the Department of Human Services Division for Developmental Disabilities. Among other honors, we have been recognized by:

• The Arc of Arapahoe and Douglas Counties for "Outstanding contribution to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities"
• The Denver Rescue Mission as the 2005 Volunteer Group of the Year
• Arc Thrift Stores for service to the 2007 Volunteers of America Feed Denver food drive
• Volunteers of America for work conducted at Sunset Parks Senior Center

The continued recognition by these organizations underlines the success of our Community Based, interactive programming. Our participants are actively involved in the community where they can establish relationships, build support networks and contribute to causes in a manner that builds self worth while providing real benefits to worthy organizations.
