Ability Specialists Evening Social Development Program encourages participants to gather socially in the evening and engage in positive, supervised and supportive relationship development. This is an essential tool in combating the life-long dilemma of social isolation faced by many with cognitive disabilities. Concentration on step-by-step relationship building skills provides the necessary repetition that will help build and maintain the confidence required to participate in community life. Participants engage the community through fun and exciting activities, implementing relational skills learned in the peer group setting throughout the rest of the week. Our evening program runs from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in Littleton, and Tuesday and Thursday in Aurora.
