The “Men’s Volunteer Day Program” is designed to support adult males who want to work but struggle with making good choices and lack the social skills to be successful in independent community employment.  Our overall focus is team work, commitment, social skills, problem solving, peer relationship development, conflict resolution, communication skills, good work habits and job skills.  We accomplish this through mentoring, role-modeling and developing comprehensive behavior modification plans.  The group volunteers at various locations throughout the Metro Denver area, learning about life while giving back.

  • Self-esteem building
  • Developing a core sense of security
  • Being comfortable with one's abilities and disabilities
  • Learning respect for self and others
  • Understanding natural consequences
  • Learning and understanding personal and professional boundaries
  • Necessary work place preparedness

We volunteer at different locations each day, working in groups of five to seven volunteers, Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A five- day a week commitment is required for this group.  We partner with organizations that recognize and value our participants as viable, contributing members of society. Some of our volunteer duties include:

  • Food service/cooking
  • Sorting and Inventory
  • Customer service
  • Warehouse
  • Janitorial
  • Animal care
